Role summary:
Hogarth Worldwide is looking for an exceptional copywriter to work with an iconic technology client. As an integral part of a creative production team, you will write original content to showcase some of the world’s best talent in an innovate live events programme. The ideal candidate therefore has a natural curiosity for all things related to popular culture and enjoys immersing themselves in global trends - from arts and design, to film-making, photography, music and more.
A passion for words and the ability to distill information into simple and engaging messages is key, we are looking for people who are able to quickly cut through the clutter and find the gem of an idea. You will be responsible for creating copy that is factual, passionate, immediate and interesting, an ability to put yourselves in the readers’ shoes is key.
You’ll also need to be able to work in a collaborative way, interacting with the team at Hogarth and the client to ensure your work is aligned with both the global and local vision. This is a full-time freelance role and we are seeking for candidate who can start on immediate or short notice.
Key responsibilities:
- Creating customer-facing marketing content (including compelling headlines) across multiple digital channels that results in effective communication.
- Demonstrate and champion clear understanding of brand, following brand guidelines and maintaining a clear brand tone of voice.
- Ensuring consistency and accuracy in product, technical and factual terminology.
- Cultural market insight, ensuring special attention is paid to whether content is appropriate and correct for the intended market.
- Delivering work of a consistent creative quality level.
- Work in a fast paced, dynamic environment managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring timely delivery.
- Leverage glossaries and style guides to ensure brand alignment.
- Working collaboratively with a global production team at Hogarth.
- Proactively contributing feedback and ideas for process improvements.
- Contribute to team meetings and other touch-points.
Requirements:
- Fluent written and oral English. Familiar with Australian English and UK English.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience writing marketing content ideally within a leading advertising agency or in-house creative team delivering for big global brands.
- Bachelor’s degree in language or literature, journalism, communications, media studies or a related subject preferred
- Ability to develop innovative creative work that’s in line with the strategy.
- Be highly creative and imaginative with strong conceptual & problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of the creative development process.
- Extreme attention to detail, combined with the ability to focus only on the details that matter so that writing is clear and simple.
- Strong communicator
- Ability to effectively communicate with other creative staff members, vendors, and freelancers.
- Proven ability to manage and organise multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in driving self-learning and skills improvement through training and keeping abreast of industry changes.
- Having a good grasp of technology and willingness to learn new programs and systems.
- Available to start on immediate or short notice
- Able to work during Singapore business hours
