We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in Melbourne, VIC.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead and coach the Customer Solutions Engineering team and manage performance

  • Works closely with the regional functions and management (sales and operations)

  • Take part in monthly forecast discussions with the sales team to understand workload and business expectations

  • Facilitate weekly team huddles and meetings to drive team activity

  • Work with other Engineering Team Leaders from other regions to share best practices

  • Work with area and global stakeholders to delivers ideas/feedback to drive change to improve frontline activity

  • Understand and work with Australian Standards or any other local regulations to complete design work or registrations

  • Look at lean ways of working to remove waste, add customer value, streamline uninterrupted workflow and strive for continuous improvement

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or another relevant field

  • Experience working within the Vertical Transport Industry in a similar role is highly desirable

  • 3+ years leadership experience

  • Ability to work closely with stakeholders

  • Solid understanding of local market dynamics and compliance obligations

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to strict deadlines

  • Good knowledge of solution-related norms and standards

  • Good engineering tool skills e.g. CAD and BIM skills

  • Good understanding on supply operations
