We’re looking for an Engineering Lead to guide a high-performing engineering team building scalable digital platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine strong technical capability with people leadership to drive delivery and engineering excellence.
You’ll work closely with product and design teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions while mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
Position Description
The Role As an Engineering Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading and growing a team of engineers while ensuring strong engineering practices and successful delivery of platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of software engineers
- Run 1:1s, performance reviews and support career growth
- Drive engineering best practices and high-quality delivery
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers
- Own the planning and delivery of engineering initiatives
- Identify risks, remove blockers and communicate technical trade-offs to stakeholders
- Support hiring and onboarding of engineers
About You
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Strong software development background, including Ruby on Rails
- Experience building scalable systems and modern architectures
- Strong knowledge of AWS environments (CloudFormation, ECS, EC2 etc.)
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for improving engineering culture and ways of working
Nice to Have
- Experience with event-driven architecture or microservices
- Exposure to React or React Native
