WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Staff Engineer on Braze’s AI Customer Interface team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI decisioning solutions. You will lead high-impact initiatives, mentor other engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in our product offerings.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design and implementation of user interfaces that provide insights into the performance of customer use cases and support model explainability.
- Collaborating closely with Product, Design, UX, and Data Science teams to create intuitive and effective interfaces that enhance user understanding and engagement.
- Applying your extensive knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, and their ecosystem to build clean, reliable, and extensible full-stack applications.
- Leading efforts in web application architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance across our platform.
- Influencing Braze’s product strategy and roadmap by providing technical insights and driving innovation in user experience.
- Mentoring engineers, providing guidance on technical growth, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
- Supporting teams implementing Braze’s AI solutions to ensure customer success and facilitate effective collaboration.
WHO YOU ARE
- Have 7+ years of relevant experience with a strong track record of success.
- Are a master at working in modern frontend languages and frameworks (TypeScript, React, Vue, Angular, etc.).
- Have significant experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright)
- Have experience with backend development and a holistic understanding of full-stack applications.
- Have a strong background in designing and maintaining scalable web application architectures.
- Have a user-centric attitude and are passionate about creating exceptional user experiences.
- Take pride in writing elegant, maintainable code and fostering a culture of quality within your team.
- Are comfortable navigating a large frontend codebase with multiple stakeholders and driving consensus on technical decisions.
- Have experience mentoring engineers and contributing to their technical development.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience developing user experiences for machine learning and data-intensive applications.
- Experience with Python and/or Ruby on Rails.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning concepts and applications.
