Embedded Software Engineer
 
Analog Devices Australia has open positions in the Battery Management Software Technology Group, with a focus on cutting-edge battery management and wireless solutions. If you are interested in working on sustainability technologies with leading OEM’s, then this could suit you.
 
We require enthusiastic and self-motivated engineers to complement our expert engineering team. Since 1987 our company has been producing professional software to the highest standard of quality and documentation. Our products are used in commercial applications by thousands of customers around the globe. The expert knowledge and specialised support provided by each member of our engineering teams is essential to our customers for developing their products effectively and on time. We have a full-time position available to develop high quality embedded code, mainly in C.
 
Required knowledge and experience for all positions:
• B.Eng. or equivalent
• C/C++ programming skills
• familiarity with assembly programming
• very good communication skills
• ability to work under time constraints and to meet deadlines
• 0 to 1.5 years embedded coding experience
• ability to write efficient code
• a good understanding of typical peripherals and interfaces
• ability to debug at the hardware level
• willingness and ability to learn something new quickly
• comfortable taking calculated risks
• innately curious with a desire to understand the business model, operations, financial structure for the organization
• have a bias for action and works in collaboration with others to deliver results
• high tolerance for ambiguity
 
Responsibilities may include:
• systems coding on embedded devices
• systems design and analysis
• algorithmic development in C and some assembly
• debugging code on hardware/simulators
• documentation of code
• device driver development in C and some assembly
• creating device driver interface specifications
• debugging, documentation and customer support of device driver code on hardware
• optimisation of code in C and assembly
 
Desirable knowledge and experience for both positions:
• assembly programming skills
• hardware development background
• M.Eng.
