With Australia's cashless payment adoption sitting at approximately 90%, the EV charging industry is at a turning point. Nayax Energy provides the technology that gives drivers genuine choice at the charger, whether that's tapping a card or using an app. Our current energy product suite includes: 

  • EV Meter - Nayax's proprietary AC charger with integrated payment device, available in single and dual socket configurations 
  • EV Payments - Cashless (card-present) payment solutions for both AC and DC chargers, enabling Charge Point Operators (CPOs) to offer tap-to-charge alongside app-based payment 
  • CPMS - Our own Charge Point Management Software and full backend, alongside integrations with approximately 30 third-party CPMS providers worldwide 

We are seeking a driven and commercially astute ANZ Energy Lead for line of business across Oceania. This is a rare opportunity to own a P&L from day one, shaping the strategy, commercial direction, and operational execution of a high-growth division within a globally listed company (Nasdaq: NYAX). 

You will work closely with the CEO of Nayax Oceania and maintain a dotted line reporting relationship with the Global Head of Energy Sales. You will have full accountability for growing the EV energy business across Australia and New Zealand, from establishing new OEM partnerships to building relationships with existing CPOs and winning new business. 

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Strategy and P&L Ownership 

  • Own the Nayax Energy line of business P&L across Oceania, with full accountability for revenue, margin, and growth targets 
  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for EV payments, EV Meter, and CPMS product lines 
  • Set, monitor, and report on KPIs and business objectives to the CEO 
  • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities within the EV and energy sector 

Business Development and Sales 

  • Identify, approach, and secure new OEM partnerships with EV charger manufacturers operating in or entering the ANZ market 
  • Build and manage a pipeline of CPO clients, including both app-based operators transitioning to card payments and greenfield deployments 
  • Lead and close commercial negotiations with strategic partners and customers 
  • Drive adoption of Nayax's EV payment solutions across AC and DC charging networks throughout Australia and New Zealand 

Partnerships and PR 

  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with OEMs, CPOs, industry bodies, and technology partners 
  • Represent Nayax Energy at industry events, conferences, and trade shows 
  • Support PR and marketing initiatives, including media opportunities and partnership announcements 
  • Maintain awareness of government policy, EV infrastructure funding, and regulatory developments relevant to the business 

Team Leadership 

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Nayax Energy team across Oceania 
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on execution, collaboration, and customer outcomes 
  • Work cross-functionally with Nayax global product, technical, and marketing teams 
  • Recruit and onboard team members as the division scales 
Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Multiple years of experience within the EV industry is a must 
  • Exceptionally strong sales background, encompassing both hunting (new business) and farming (account growth), with at least 6 years of sales and sales management experience 
  • Proven experience in a senior business development, commercial, or general management role 
  • Demonstrated ability to own and manage a P&L with accountability for revenue targets 
  • Strong track record of building and closing B2B partnerships and sales 
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills 
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate autonomously in a growth environment 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Based in Sydney, Australia, with willingness to travel domestically and to New Zealand
  • Experience in the EV, energy, payments, or fintech sectors - preferred, not required
  • Existing networks within the EV charging, infrastructure, or utilities industry in ANZ - preferred, not required
  • Familiarity with cashless payment technologies, POS systems, or commerce enablement platforms - preferred, not required
  • Experience working within a global, listed company environment - preferred, not required
  • Knowledge of CPMS platforms or EV charging operations - preferred, not required
