Job Description- Be part of the Jetstar People team supporting critical operational workgroups including pilots and cabin crew

- Fulltime, 12-month fixed term opportunity based at Jetstar HQ, Collingwood – hybrid working arrangements
As an Employee Relations Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the Employee and Industrial Relations environment across the Pilots and Cabin Crew business units. Operating as a key business partner, you will work closely with senior leaders to provide pragmatic, commercially focused ER/IR advice in a highly regulated, unionised and operationally sensitive environment.
Reporting into the Head of Employee Relations, you will be responsible for end to end employee and industrial relations matters, including enterprise agreement negotiations, complex case management, dispute resolution and advocacy. You will also provide strategic advice to support productivity, cost and change initiatives, ensuring risks are understood and appropriately managed while maintaining a constructive industrial climate.
This role offers the opportunity to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, supporting frontline operational leaders while contributing to longer term IR strategy for the business.
To be considered for this role, key skills will include:
- Proven experience in Employee and Industrial Relations, ideally within a complex, unionised or operational environment
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise agreements, disputes and union relationships
- Strong capability in complex case management and employment law application
- Experience appearing before, or preparing matters for, the Fair Work Commission
- The ability to influence and partner effectively with senior operational leaders
- A pragmatic, solutions focused approach to managing risk while supporting business outcomes
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ER/IR matters clearly and confidently
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trust in fast paced environments
