The Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance and repair activities within the facility. This role ensures that all electrical systems and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. The Electrical Engineer will lead a team of electricians, manage electrical contractors, coordinate maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Supervise and lead a team of electricians in performing maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards, including conducting safety inspections and implementing safety measures.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and issues.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical systems and maintenance technologies.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronic) or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Knowledge of PLC, industrial electronics, and SCADA systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and judgment skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a maintenance team in the pharmaceutical or food industry is preferred.
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
- Person holding a current A-grade electrical license will be highly regarded.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor and develop team members
