We’re dedicated to helping teachers engage students meaningfully and use technology to meet curriculum goals more efficiently.

Why Join Us?

  • Purpose-Driven Work: You’ll directly influence how mathematics is taught and learned, shaping the future of classrooms and improving outcomes for students.

About the Role

As our Sales Consultant in Western Australia, you’ll serve as the local face of Mathspace. This role is perfect for a former mathematics teacher or an education professional looking to channel their curriculum knowledge into edtech, or a passionate salesperson with a strong understanding of education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Growth: Manage your own sales pipeline—from identifying leads and outreach to demos, trials, and closing deals.
  • Build Relationships: Meet with teachers, school leaders, and district decision-makers to understand their unique challenges and demonstrate how Mathspace’s tools can transform learning.
  • Customer Success & Engagement: Support existing school partners by offering professional learning sessions, curriculum alignment support, and strategic advice to maximize product use.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather input from educators and students, relaying insights to our product team to continually refine and enhance our platform.
Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Insight: Former secondary mathematics teaching experience or strong familiarity with maths curriculum.
  • Sales Aptitude: Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills. Prior sales experience is a plus—especially within edtech or software.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: You’re proactive, innovative, and eager to influence strategy.
  • Positive Attitude: A sense of humor and team spirit. We work hard and celebrate wins together.

Bonus Points For:

  • 2+ years of sales experience (edtech preferred, but not mandatory).
  • A strong network in the secondary mathematics teaching community.
Benefits
  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary plus commission to reward your performance.
  • Generous Leave: 10 bonus annual leave days on top of standard entitlements.
  • Mission-Driven Impact: Transform mathematics education and directly see the positive outcomes for students and teachers.
  • Work-Life Balance & Flexibility: Flexible working arrangements and a company laptop.
  • Community Engagement: We commit 1% of our time, product, and profit to nonprofits, and offer 2.5 paid volunteer days per year.

How to Apply:

Join us in reimagining mathematics education. If you’re ready to help shape the future of learning, apply now with your CV and a brief statement detailing why you’re passionate about education technology.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
