Director of Sales - Australia

VIOTAS has an exciting opportunity for a senior B2B sales professional to support the renewable energy transition in Australia. Your role will be to identify potential customers and present to them a complex energy solution in a manner that gives them peace of mind. In turn, helping the commercial team achieve and exceed their sales and growth targets.
We are looking for candidates who know how to challenge the status quo within businesses by introducing new and innovative solutions that grow businesses revenues and supports their sustainability credentials. In return, the successful candidate will develop as a sales professional in one of the world’s fastest-growing smart grid companies, creating value for clients, as well as your own career. The role is a mix of working from home and office, requiring travel to customers.

VIOTAS established itself in the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM) in 2020 and has rapidly grown a portfolio of a diverse assets across a broad range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategy.
- Coach, develop and motivate sales team.
- Monitor and manage sales team performance.
- Undertake lead generation and prospecting.
- Identify and create new business opportunities.
- Engage and manage customers through the sales pipeline.
- Deliver sales presentations & proposals.
- Negotiate customer contracts.
- Accurately report to senior management on lead generation, opportunities, and sales progress.
- Own and drive the sales process from lead, through technical and market qualification, and finally to contract closure.
- Lead and co-ordinate internal teams through the customer acquisition process.
- Develop and maintain strong consultative relationships with our client base.
- Contribute to product and service development based on industry and customer insights.
- Participate in seminars, trade shows and other suitable marketing opportunities.
- Achieve or exceed sales pipeline metrics and targets.
Essential Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in B2B Sales
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop high performing sales teams.
- Highly advanced negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven ability to distil and effectively communicate complex technical solutions with both non-technical and technical audiences
- Skilled at motivating customers and delivery partners, understanding their drivers and overcoming objections.
- Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills, with an ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively with diverse teams.
- High adaptability in fast-paced and evolving business environments
- Existing relationships with commercial and industrial energy consumers.
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and CRM.
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in a technical qualification.
- Full Drivers licence
Desirable
- Experience and professional networks in Data Centre and Back-Up Generation Sectors
- Knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM) energy and ancillary services markets
- Existing relationships with commercial and industrial consumers
