The role focuses on optimizing website structures and user experience to improve inbound lead conversion for acquired companies, transforming digital experiences.

You’re the sort of person who can look at a tangled sitemap, three inherited websites, duplicate landing pages and a CMS full of “temporary” fixes from 2019, then calmly say, “Yep, we can make this better.”

This role is about bringing order to the very familiar digital mess that comes from blending multiple companies across Australia and New Zealand. We’re talking customer journeys, conversion performance, trust signals, UX, multi-geo website structures and the occasional page that definitely should have been archived sometime around the invention of Teams.

First Focus is now almost 400 people across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines, and we’ve been recognised as the #1 MSP in Australia for 9 years running. We’re growing quickly through acquisition, and this role will help turn that growth into a clearer, stronger and more useful website experience for customers.

You’ll work closely with our Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to shape and deliver the future website experience across Australia and New Zealand. This is not primarily a day-to-day website development role. It’s about making sure our websites are easier to use, easier to trust, easier to maintain and much better at converting the right inbound leads.

What you’ll focus on
  • Improving lead quality, conversion rates and inbound pathways across key websites
  • Shaping website structure, UX and customer journeys for acquired and existing audiences
  • Running practical UX and conversion experiments across pages, forms, proof points, CTAs and messaging
  • Making brand transition clear and reassuring for acquired customers and prospects
  • Preserving the right trust, proof and conversion elements from acquired websites
  • Working with agencies, developers and internal stakeholders to deliver a scalable website experience that marketing teams can actually maintain

RequirementsWhat you’ll bring
  • Experience improving conversion performance for lead-generation websites
  • Strong UX, customer journey and conversion optimisation skills
  • Commercial judgement, with a clear focus on inbound lead conversion
  • Experience with multi-geo or multi-market website structures
  • The ability to turn business goals into practical website requirements
  • Experience working with agencies, developers or implementation partners
  • Technical literacy across websites, CMS platforms and UX implementation
Bonus points for
  • Experience in IT, managed services, SaaS or professional services
  • Exposure to acquisition-related brand or website transitions
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, WordPress or modern CMS platforms
  • Experience designing websites that are easy for marketing teams to maintain and evolve

Benefits
  • Competitive remuneration on a fixed-term contract
  • Free access to Uprise, including 1:1 coaching with qualified psychologists or counsellors
  • Flexible working for work-life balance
  • “Never Stop Growing”: 10 paid study days per year, exam fees paid, and pay rises for certifications, conditions apply
  • FastTrack mentoring program
  • MAD, our Making a Difference Council, supporting equality, charity and environmental initiatives
  • Regular social events and a genuinely supportive team culture
  • The chance to shape a clearer, smarter and higher-converting website experience across Australia and New Zealand

You’ll need to Live Curiously here, asking why a page exists, why a journey drops off, why a proof point matters, and why “we’ve always done it this way” is rarely the thrilling answer people think it is. Why this role matters

Acquisitions create complexity. Old websites, loyal customers, new commercial goals and inherited digital structures all need to come together in a way that feels clear, useful and trustworthy.

That’s where you come in. You’ll help shape how customers understand what’s changing, what’s staying familiar and why they can feel confident moving forward with First Focus.

If you like turning complex, inherited and slightly unruly digital experiences into something clearer, smarter and higher-converting, this is the good stuff. Still complicated, obviously. We are still in technology.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
