Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and highly automated cloud and hybrid platforms supporting the delivery of complex information systems. In this role, you will embed secure‑by‑design principles across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows, enabling reliable and compliant services through automation and modern cloud‑native practices.
Working in a DevOps‑aligned environment, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, operations teams, and business stakeholders to uplift platform reliability, security posture, and delivery efficiency. You will provide expert technical input into platform design, risk assessments, and operational assurance, while driving continuous improvement through automation, observability, and cost‑aware engineering practices. This role is well suited to a hands‑on engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong communication skills and a passion for secure, scalable delivery.
Qualifications- Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer designing, building, and operating secure, scalable, and automated cloud and hybrid platforms
- Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS, particularly Fargate, CloudWatch, and IAM, including securing, deploying, and monitoring containerised workloads at scale
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, using tools such as Terraform, YAML‑based configurations, and Ansible to automate environment provisioning
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation, orchestration, and integration across cloud and on‑premise environments
- Solid experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines, embedding automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and secure‑by‑design practices
- Strong security engineering foundations, including RBAC, secrets management, vulnerability management, compliance automation, encryption standards, and PKI concepts
- Demonstrated capability in monitoring and observability, using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and integrated alerting platforms (e.g. AWS SNS, xMatters)
- Experience working with microservices and API‑driven architectures, along with FinOps awareness and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
