We’re looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our high-performing platform team and help scale our cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes. This is a hands-on role with no people management responsibilities, ideal for someone passionate about driving continuous improvement, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native reliability.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with developers, testers, and platform engineers to build secure, scalable, and highly automated environments. You’ll be responsible for owning our CI/CD pipelines, enhancing observability, and helping evolve our AWS architecture in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation) with a focus on scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines with robust quality gates, rollback strategies, and deployment automation
- Develop and maintain containerized workloads using Docker, ECS, and ECR
- Implement monitoring and alerting using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, Dynatrace, or SumoLogic to ensure system reliability
- Automate tasks and workflows using PowerShell (Bash/Python experience a plus)
- Manage secure and consistent deployment across non-prod and prod environments
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline software delivery
- Support system patching, container versioning, backups, and other infrastructure hygiene tasks
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ECS, ECR, RDS, IAM, etc.) and high-availability cloud architecture
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools - Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design and operation across development lifecycles
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell; familiarity with Bash or Python is a plus
- Experience working in agile teams and DevOps-first cultures
- Solid understanding of containerization, orchestration, and image management
- Experience with system monitoring, incident response, and observability frameworks
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on reducing manual tasks and increasing delivery speed
