The RoleAspenTech is looking for a talented and energetic DevOps Developer to join our Enterprise Operations Platform (EOP) organization. In this role, you will contribute to the deployment and operations of tools that support collaboration and productivity across the organization. You’ll work in a cross-functional team, bridging gaps between development, testing, and operations, and championing DevOps best practices.
As part of the EOP team, you will be a member of an Agile development team responsible for the delivery of next-generation industrial software solutions. These solutions will provide a software-defined, data-centric, flexible platform which enables automation for AspenTech’s diverse customer base. This role’s contributions have highly visible impacts on the success and scalability of our software offerings to our customers. Your Impact
  • Monitor, support, and maintain software products in an Agile development environment.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain and enhance in-house DevOps tooling written in Bash and Python.
  • Research, recommend, and implement improvements in cloud operations, monitoring, and security.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Document operational processes and critical infrastructure components.
  • Provide timely support and maintain clear, effective communication.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Actively participate with team members as part of a scaled Agile organization.
  • Work with a team to refine high-level requirements into actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills as a participant in a variety of Agile ceremonies.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability and collaboration across a variety of support, development, security, and product teams.
  • Complete assigned technical and industry training.
What You'll Need
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-5 years of related experience OR an advanced degree with less experience.
  • Language requirement: French: A1 (advanced) and English level C1 (advanced), the position requires interactions with international clients
  • Intermediate understanding of cloud-native technologies, services, architecture, and container orchestration.
  • Practical, working experience with some of the following:
  • Containerization (Docker)
  • Kubernetes and Helm
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines)
  • Artifact repositories and vulnerability scanning tools (Artifactory, Blackduck, Snyk)
  • Public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • GitOps tools (Flux, ArgoCD) and promotion models
  • Monitoring and log management systems
  • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
  • Experience with Agile development frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum.
  • Personal project management skills; deliver tasks on-time with good quality.
  • Ability to take direction and be capable of working effectively in an environment with a high degree of change.
  • Willingness to actively learn from more senior technical staff.
  • Experience with object-oriented design and debugging skills.
  • Willingness to contribute ideas and solutions while honoring and supporting the ideas of others.
  • Passionate about finding creative solutions to problems, and pride in well-crafted code.
