We are the creators of Flipper Zero — a portable device for tech enthusiasts and engineers. It’s a gadget with an awesome community that brings together millions of people around the world.

We’re building a new product — Flipper One. It’s a full-featured ARM-based computer running Linux in a compact form factor, powered by the Rockchip RK3576 SoC.

We’ve decided to make the entire development process completely open and public. That’s why we’re looking for a Developer Portal & Community Manager to own and manage the entire Flipper One Developer Portal: maintaining the wiki, collecting tasks from all development teams, managing all GitHub projects and repositories, and proactively communicating with the community.

This role is perfect for you if you want to be close to the product, see firsthand how it’s built, and help turn that process into a clear and valuable entry point for the community. This is not a “content manager” role — you’ll need to fully understand the development process, track all ongoing tasks, and connect the team with the community to make things happen.

What is the Developer Portal?

The Developer Portal is a public wiki + a set of GitHub projects built around Flipper One. It documents how the project works as a whole, explains the architecture of its major subsystems, and provides contribution guides for the community — showing how people can contribute to each sub-project.

Anyone reading the Developer Portal wiki should come away with a complete understanding of the project structure, each feature, and what exactly we are building.

Requirements:

  • You write clearly, concisely, and without fluff, and can show examples of your work: guides, instructions, READMEs, how-tos, or similar materials

  • Basic understanding of hardware, software, and development workflows (Git, commits, branches, pull requests)

  • Able to explain complex technical topics in simple language and visualize them with flowchart sketches

  • Strong verbal communication skills; you know how to listen, ask precise questions, and quickly extract the key points from chaotic discussions

  • Keep communication with the community productive — without toxicity, unnecessary softness, or bureaucracy

  • Comfortable collaborating closely with engineers and navigating technical contexts

  • Discern useful feedback and constructive disagreement from noise and spam

  • Value structure, logic, clarity, and information quality

  • Genuinely interested in developer-facing products, hardware, documentation, open communities, and the build-in-public approach

  • Proficiency in Russian and English for communication with other departments in the company and the external community

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in DevRel, technical writing, community operations, or an editorial role

  • Experience working with documentation, wikis, knowledge bases, or developer portals

  • Understanding of the culture of technical communities, open-source, and hardware projects

  • Ability to work across topics at the intersection of interfaces, electronics, product architecture, and internal development

Responsibilites:

  • Own and develop the Flipper One Developer Portal

  • Turn the team’s internal context into clear public documentation, notes, updates, and explanations

  • Join team calls to understand what’s actually happening in the project and maintain a complete picture of it

  • Translate technical discussions into clear, human language without losing meaning or accuracy

  • Moderate community comments, pull requests, and contributions

  • Filter out spam, reduce noise, and keep discussions productive

  • Help users understand how the portal works and how to provide useful feedback

  • Collect signals from the community and bring them back to the team

  • Make sure the portal stays structured, up to date, and genuinely useful

What we offer:

  • Fully remote from anywhere in the world

  • You will be provided with all the necessary equipment for a comfortable working environment

  • Benefits such as VHI, corporate sports, foreign language courses, and therapy sessions

  • A five-day workweek with a flexible start of the working day

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
