Are you a highly skilled Developer Automation Tester with a passion for driving quality through automation and a strong C#/.NET background?
We are seeking a proactive and independent professional to join our team, focusing critical Digital Identity Services projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality, security, and architectural compliance of our applications.
Given the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens and has eligibility to obtain a security clearance. This requirement ensures that all team members are cleared to handle sensitive information and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Focus: Lead the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks (80% of the role), leveraging C# and Selenium WebDriver for UI testing across multiple browsers.
- BDD & Data Driven Testing: Design and execute Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) tests using SpecFlow and implement Data Driven testing methodologies.
- API Automation: Conduct extensive API backend testing using tools like RestSharp and Postman.
- Application Development (20%): Work as a developer to build and support applications using .NET C# and Angular for UI development.
- Architecture & Compliance: Apply high-level judgment to assess and estimate solutions, ensuring implementation is compliant with the ATO's enterprise architecture standards, principles, and procedures.
- Delivery & Ownership: Deliver solutions with a large degree of independence, taking ownership of component delivery and being accountable for project outcomes in line with Company's standards.
- Full Development Lifecycle: Actively participate in all stages of the development lifecycle, including analysis, design, building, testing, pair-programming, code-reviews, documenting, and maintenance.
- Incident Resolution: Proactively undertake problem-solving and incident resolution, demonstrating a strong understanding of change control and release management procedures.
- Documentation: Contribute to technical documentation under the guidance of the Tech Lead and Architects, with experience in UML being highly desirable.
- Critical Evaluation: Critically evaluate technology and tools, providing recommendations for action.
- Quality Assurance: Prepare and provide TCM (Test Completion Manifest) signoff upon successful completion of testing in an environment.
Here’s what you need:
- C# & Automation: Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver along with C# for writing reusable functions and test scripts
- Development Stack: Experience developing and supporting applications using .NET C# and Angular
- API & Protocols: Expertise in API testing (RestSharp, Postman), a good understanding of the HTTP protocol, REST API, and microservice patterns
- Security & Identity: Experience with application security and identity management, preferably with OpenID and JWTs
- Cloud: Considerable experience working with the AWS suite of applications
- Databases: Strong knowledge of T-SQL and NodeJS
- Principles: Good understanding and application of SOLID principles
- Source Control & Workflow: Experience with Source Code Management (Git) and knowledge of bug raising/tracking using work items and workflow systems, ideally Azure DevOps
- Methodologies: Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Australian citizenship with at least 3 years of continuous residency
Bonus point if with
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD, preferably using Azure DevOps and PowerShell
