We’re seeking a Design Team Manager to lead the creative vision for the EML Group brand and subsidiary brands. This newly established local role offers the opportunity to embed structure, lift creative standards, and bring greater alignment to how we deliver our visual story across the business and to the market.
You’ll be responsible for driving creative excellence, setting the tone for our brand identity, and ensuring consistency in visual and user experience across a wide range of projects. Leading a team you’ll play a central role in strengthening our creative capability and delivering impactful, fit-for-purpose solutions across the business, and to customers.
This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Sydney or Melbourne office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brand stewardship for EML Group – ensuring all design work aligns with the company’s brand identity, values and tone
- Manage end-to-end delivery of design projects using project management tools, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Lead planning, resourcing, and execution across a high volume of creative work including digital marketing collateral, with strong oversight of schedules and outputs.
- Facilitate collaboration through regular check-ins, design reviews, and clear communication between internal stakeholders, designers and creative leads.
- Monitor workflow performance, track project progress, and produce reporting on capacity, delivery, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Inspire and guide the design team to produce compelling, user-centrerd creative work which aligns to the creative vision of the brand.
- Drive operational efficiency by identifying risks, resolving issues, and championing enhancements to processes, workflows, and team coordination.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 5 years experience in a design leadership role within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a high-performing design team, with a focus on capability development and clear creative direction.
- Strong project leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects, setting priorities, and delivering on time.
- Skilled at fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture
- Confident engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to align design output with business objectives, while driving consistency and process improvements.
