About the Role:
The Design Coordinator role focuses on coordinating and managing project design documentation from concept to delivery, ensuring smooth project operation. This role ensures effective communication across departments, demonstrating strong leadership, and a dedicated commitment to customer service in project delivery.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Prepare project commencement documentation and assist the design managers and engineering team to manage technical drawing production for construction projects.
  • Track design development and validate it according to project schedules and requirements.
  • Participate in conceptual design, early approvals, and maintain design documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining design processes, standards, and onboarding consultants/contractors.
  • Support safety practices, maintain project documentation, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

About You: 

This opportunity would suit someone who comes from a design, project admin/support, document control or freedom of information background (exposure to engineering would be highly desirable, but not essential)

  • Having a general understanding of construction terminology and request for information processes would be highly desirable.
  • Exposure to working with diverse teams, including internal stakeholders, SMEs and external service providers.
  • Ability to identify risks and provide effective and innovative solutions.

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
