General Purpose:

The Demand Planner is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to develop accurate demand forecasts that support inventory, capacity, and financial planning decisions. This role serves as a key liaison among internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment of business assumptions and enabling effective decision-making through demand visibility and forecast accuracy. This role is strategic, requires proactive analytical thinking, and is key to meeting our objectives across various product groups and a rapidly growing market.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts across multiple product categories using historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and business insights. 
  • Analyze demand drivers, sales performance, seasonality, and customer trends to improve forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness. 
  • Manage forecast data, reporting, and performance metrics while proactively identifying forecast risks, gaps, and opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with the Business team, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to validate assumptions and incorporate business intelligence into forecasting models. 
  • Utilize Oracle Cloud SCM and other planning tools to maintain and improve forecasting processes. 
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) planning by developing launch forecasts and monitoring performance throughout the product lifecycle. 
  • Assist with product transition and End-of-Life (EOL) planning activities, including inventory strategies and excess and obsolete (E&O) mitigation. 
  • Consolidate and validate regional demand plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and data accuracy. 
  • Support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing forecast inputs, analysis, and recommendations. 
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate forecast performance, assumptions, and business insights. 
  • Perform data analysis and scenario modeling to support planning decisions and business objectives. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting processes, data quality, and operational performance. 
  • Support ad hoc analysis, reporting, and planning activities as required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.

Ability to develop and communicate forecast assumptions, risks, opportunities, and business impacts to stakeholders at all organizational levels.


Qualifications:

Experience: 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience.         

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Forecast accuracy management

Cross-functional collaboration

ERP/planning system experience


NICE TO HAVE:

Experience in consumer electronics, computer hardware, peripherals, gaming, or related industries is a plus.

Experience in Oracle Cloud SCM and Power BI
