About the role:

CDC is looking for a Data Migration Analyst to join our multi-stream digital transformation program. The incumbent will collaborate with the Transformation Lead, the Enterprise Architect, Data Engineers and D365 Engineers to support data mapping, master data governance, ETL Design and data platform performance testing. Previous experience working on Finance Transformations or on Microsoft Dynamics Implementations is highly regarded in this role. This role will begin as a 12 Month Contract but may transition to permanent at the end of the contracted term.

Key responsibilities include:

Data Migration Analysis & Execution 

  • Produce detailed data mapping specifications, business rules, and transformation logic.  
  • Analyse legacy data structures, identify quality issues, and define cleansing or remediation steps.  
  • Support iterative migration cycles (trial loads, mock runs, cutover) and maintain clear documentation of load results. 
  • Create representative test data sets to support volume, performance, and functional testing, and compile and execute data migration test scripts to validate migration logic, data quality, and load performance. 

Documentation, Mapping & Specifications 

  • Produce clear, accurate technical documentation for data mappings, SQL logic, update rules, error handling, and reconciliation processes.  
  • Maintain version-controlled artefacts for source to target mappings and data dictionaries. To target mappings and data dictionaries. 
  • Document all data cleanup activities performed during migration cycles, ensuring sufficient detail and traceability for audit and compliance purposes. 
  • Review and validate specifications with Technical Analysts and Architects to ensure alignment with solution architectures. 

About you: 

·         10+ years experience in Data Migration roles within finance transformation, or ERP implementation environments. 

·         Strong SQL skills, including writing complex extraction, transformation, update, and reconciliation statements.

·         Experience with data mapping and migration documentation (source systems, target structures, field-level detail). 

·         Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or similar cloud-based data platforms.

Australian Citizenship is essential - with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
