About the role:
As a senior member within the Data Platforms team, you will lead a cross-functional, agile delivery squad responsible for building and evolving data engineering and data product initiatives that support analytics, machine learning, and AI enabled use cases across the business.
You will play a key role in delivering high quality data products across our Azure and Snowflake based Enterprise Data Platform and complementary platforms, including the Salesforce ecosystem, with a strong focus on business impact, reliability, and long-term sustainability.
This role is ideal for a data engineering leader who has led teams or initiatives, enjoys balancing hands-on technical work with people leadership, and wants to build reliable, high impact data products in a collaborative enterprise environment.
What’s involved:
You’ll lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team to deliver meaningful data solutions while working closely with architecture, engineering leaders, and business partners to prioritise work and navigate trade-offs effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
Owning the successful delivery of data initiatives within agreed scope and budget
Designing and delivering data pipelines and data products that support analytics, machine learning, and AI use cases across the enterprise
Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to translate data needs into practical, high value solutions
Promoting strong engineering practices, including CI/CD, cloud native development, and well governed data architectures
Coaching and mentoring team members, uplifting engineering standards, and supporting continuous improvement across the squad
About You:
You balance hands-on technical capability with people focused leadership. You’re comfortable getting into the detail when needed, while also creating clarity, direction, and space for others to succeed.
You enjoy working in environments with evolving priorities and see ambiguity as an opportunity to collaborate, learn, and make thoughtful decisions. You value openness, teamwork, and continuous learning, and you communicate with empathy and impact.
What you’ll bring:
You don’t need to tick every box to be successful, but you will bring many of the following:
Experience in data engineering or analytics, working with large or complex data environments
Practical coding experience in Python and SQL, with a focus on building maintainable solutions
Experience working with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices
Exposure to delivering data solutions that integrate with business platforms such as CRM or SaaS systems (e.g. Salesforce)
A solid understanding of data architecture, warehousing, and modelling concepts
Experience leading teams or initiatives in agile delivery environments
You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
