About this opportunity
iPECS is looking for an experienced Data Engineer (Data Architect) to lead the design and evolution of data architectures for large-scale services.
This role focuses on building scalable and reliable data platforms by designing database architectures and data pipelines, while collaborating closely with engineering and platform teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve large-scale database and data platform architectures
• Design data flows and pipelines across operational databases, analytics databases, and Data Warehouses/Data Marts
• Design and operate ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality and performance
• Structure data for analytics and BI use cases and design serving layers
• Define data standards, schemas, and governance policies in collaboration with DevOps, Cloud, and service teams
• Participate in roadmap design for future data platform scalability
• Manage schema versioning and migrations integrated with CI/CD pipelines
• Build monitoring for query performance and transaction logs aligned with observability and logging systems
• Establish data lifecycle management and optimization strategies
• Define and implement data quality management frameworks and automated pipelines
• Design and implement real-time and batch synchronization strategies between operational and analytics environments
• Define and apply data security policies including encryption, masking, and access control

• ETL/ELT 파이프라인 설계 및 데이터 품질• 성능 관리
• BI 및 분석이 가능한 형태로 데이터 구조화 및 Serving 레이어 설계
• DevOps/Cloud/서비스 팀과 협업하여 데이터 표준, 스키마, 거버넌스 정책 정의
• 향후 Data Platform 확장을 고려한 로드맵 설계 참여
• CI/CD 파이프라인과 연계된 Schema Versioning 및 Migration 관리
• Observability 및 Logging 체계와 연계된 쿼리 성능, Transaction Log 모니터링 구축
• 데이터 라이프사이클 관리 및 최적화 전략 수립
• 데이터 품질 관리(Data Quality) 체계 수립 및 자동화 파이프라인 구성
• 운영 DB와 분석 환경 간 실시간/배치 데이터 동기화 전략 수립 및 구현
• 데이터 보안 정책(암호화, 마스킹, 접근 권한 관리) 수립 및 적용

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data-focused roles such as Data Engineer, DBA, or backend engineering
• Strong hands-on experience in database engineering
• Experience operating large-scale RDBMS environments (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Solid experience in query optimization, schema design, indexing, sharding, and performance tuning
• Deep understanding of SQL and experience designing complex queries and schemas
• Experience designing Data Warehouses and Data Marts
• Experience designing and operating ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with database replication, clustering, and failover/fencing configurations
• Experience diagnosing and tuning performance issues in large-scale data environments
• Experience establishing incident response and recovery processes for data pipelines
• Hands-on experience operating at least one distributed data system (Kafka, Spark, Flink, etc.)

• Data Warehouse, Data Mart 설계 경험
• ETL/ELT 파이프라인 설계 및 운영 경험
• 데이터 이중화, 클러스터링, Failover/Fencing 구성 경험
• 대용량 데이터 환경에서의 성능 이슈 진단 및 개선 경험
• 데이터 파이프라인 장애 대응 및 복구 프로세스 수립 경험
• Kafka, Spark, Flink 등 분산 데이터 시스템 중 1개 이상 실무 운영 경험

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or Argo Workflows
• Exposure to modern data architecture concepts such as Data Mesh or Lakehouse
• Experience integrating BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience processing large-scale log or event data
• Experience with data security, access control, or regulatory compliance
