Data Consultant (Azure/Support/BI)

About the Role
We are looking for a mid-level Data Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to join our growing team in a business-as-usual (BAU) support and enhancement capacity.This role is focused on maintaining and optimising existing BI reports, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, rather than building new systems from scratch. It suits someone who enjoys stability, values operational excellence, and is comfortable working independently in complex enterprise environments.

About you : 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Enhance and maintain existing Cognos or Power BI reports

• Support patching, upgrades, and performance tuning of cloud-based data warehouses and pipelines

• Execute and troubleshoot ETL processes using SSIS

• Perform SQL-based data extraction and transformation

• Ensure data availability and smooth day-to-day operations across reporting platforms

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing your workload autonomously

Required Skills

• Strong experience in SQL Server and Data Warehousing environments

• Exposure to Cognos (report editing/enhancement)

• Proficiency with ETL tools, especially SSIS

• Working knowledge of Python scripting

• Cloud experience – ideally Azure (Data Factory, Pipelines, Storage, etc.)
