About the role:
We are looking for a Data Architect delivering modern enterprise data platforms to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting scalable Enterprise Data Platforms across Azure, Databricks and Snowflake.
- Defining data architecture, modelling, governance and integration standards.
- Translating business requirements into scalable data and AI solutions.
- Collaborating with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and AI teams.
- Supporting Python, Azure ML, Azure AI Foundry and Snowflake Cortex use cases.
- Contributing to AI and agentic AI environments and modern data platform architecture.
- Providing technical leadership across cloud data and AI ecosystems.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Strong experience with Azure and Snowflake
- Strong data modelling expertise, including dimensional modelling methodologies
- Experience with ERwin or similar data modelling tools
- Deep understanding of Kimball modelling principles and data warehousing concepts
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business audiences
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and governed data platforms
You'll be at an advantage if you also have:
- Knowledge of Data Vault methodologies
- Experience with Databricks and dbt(preferred)
- Knowledge of data quality, observability, monitoring, and governance frameworks
- Exposure to AI and Agentic AI initiatives
