ABOUT NEARA

Imagine preventing wildfires before they start, or ensuring power grids stay resilient during extreme weather. That’s the real-world impact we create every day at Neara.

We build 3D physics-enabled digital twins of critical infrastructure networks that help utilities and infrastructure companies run scenarios, assess risks, and make smarter decisions that affect millions of lives.

We’re not just another tech company - we’re one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies 2024. We're making tangible differences in communities worldwide. And we're backed by some of the world’s leading venture capital investors.

Our team is passionate, brilliant, and genuinely excited about solving problems that matter. We’ve built something special here: a culture where everyone owns our mission, innovation thrives, and great work gets recognised. And now we’re ready for our next chapter of growth.

Join Neara as a Customer Value Architect in a unique forward deployment role where you'll be the bridge between our innovative platform and our enterprise customers. This isn't your typical customer success role. You'll be embedded on-site with clients, working as their trusted advisor and advocate while ensuring they extract maximum value from our solutions.

You'll work at the intersection of sales, product development, customer success and strategy, translating complex technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes. Every customer has a different approach to analysing and managing business risks. Your role is to understand their unique perspective and configure Neara for their success.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop strong proficiency with the Neara software platform to translate its functionality and value to customers

  • Work directly and closely with customers, including meaningful time on-site, to:

    • Drive and embed the use of the Neara platform, enabling proficient adoption throughout their organisation

    • Ensure Neara solutions deliver on contractual scope and identified business outcomes

    • Develop a deep understanding of customer strategic imperatives to provide clear guidance on where Neara solutions can enhance their business

    • Serve as a trusted commercial and technical advisor, ensuring solutions are fully embedded within business workflows and change management requirements

    • Collaborate with customers to define business cases and ROI metrics, including established cadences for internal reporting and value delivery reviews

    • Identify opportunities to expand platform adoption by uncovering additional business drivers or pain points that Neara can solve

    • Build close, trusted relationships with broad stakeholder audiences based on credibility, authenticity and transparency

    • Feed back ideas and direction to Neara’s product teams, to make sure we are building the features that will unlock the most value for our customers

  • Collaborate closely with Neara Sales and Deployment teams to drive customer happiness, platform adoption, and measurable value demonstration frameworks

  • Design and deliver focused training sessions and workshops aligned with customer goals and workflows

  • Identify emerging client needs and strategic opportunities to inform customer account strategies and growth opportunities

WHO YOU ARE

  • Significant experience with enterprise account engagement, strategy and client management, ideally within a large consulting organisation.

  • Familiarity with enterprise software platforms and deployments

  • Experience in developing tangible customer value and ROI frameworks that map to client strategic and business priorities

  • Strong communication skills and critical thinking capabilities

  • Strong external stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to build trusted relationships

  • A proactive problem-solver who enjoys finding creative solutions to solve customer pain points or enable commercial opportunities

  • Experience within infrastructure, and specifically the energy sector, is a plus but not essential

  • An engineering degree or familiarity with enterprise software platforms and deployments is a plus, but not essential

  • A utility/civil design background is highly regarded

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

  • Competitive salary + ESOP.

  • Significant development opportunities with scope for lateral and upward movement in a high-growth company.

  • Highly meritocratic, non-bureaucratic, and low ego work culture.

  • The opportunity to play a direct, critical role in building and deploying complex, meaningful products to solve real-world problems.

  • The opportunity to touch multiple parts of the business and interact with different internal/external stakeholders.

Neara values diversity, belonging and equal employment opportunities. We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply.

Please note that you will require current and unrestricted working rights to be considered for the role. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to offer visa sponsorship at this time.

No agencies or third-party service providers, please.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
