At Varicon, we’re helping construction businesses take control of their project costs through real-time visibility and smarter financial tracking. We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for a Customer Success Manager who’s passionate about helping clients succeed and excited by the pace of a high-growth SaaS startup.

You’ll own a portfolio of ~50-75 SMB construction clients across Australia - building relationships, driving adoption, and ensuring every customer gets measurable value from Varicon. This role combines commercial accountability with genuine client partnership, so you’ll need to be just as comfortable in a client office as you are on a construction site.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage a portfolio of ~50-75 SMB civil construction clients, ensuring strong relationships, clear communication, and ongoing value delivery.
  • Act as the main point of contact for your accounts - driving value realisation, adoption, renewals, and long-term retention.
  • Become a product expert so you can showcase features, answer client questions, and help with setup when needed.
  • Collaborate with Support, Product, and Onboarding teams to deliver a seamless client experience and ensure issues are resolved efficiently. Intervene when necessary to protect client trust.
  • Monitor client health and engagement insights to proactively address risks, identify opportunities, and guide clients toward meaningful outcomes.
  • Understand each client’s business challenges and use that insight to drive the adoption of new features, helping clients realise as much value as possible from Varicon.
  • Visit clients and construction sites periodically to strengthen relationships and understand their real-world workflows.
  • Advocate internally for client needs, balancing empathy with accountability to ensure actions are taken and expectations are managed.
  • Develop deep product knowledge and a solid understanding of the construction industry to become a trusted advisor.

What we’re looking for:

    • 3+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or a similar client-facing SaaS role.
    • Strong relationship builder with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to understand and use complex software and not be afraid to get your hands dirty.
    • Interest in learning about the construction industry.
    • Comfortable balancing client advocacy with business goals - you know when to push and when to listen.
    • Motivated, organised, and proactive in managing a large portfolio of clients.
    • Excited to travel occasionally to visit clients and construction sites across Australia.
    • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

    Why Varicon:
      • We are a high-growth Australian startup with product-market fit, making a real impact in one of the biggest industries in the world.
      • Work alongside a passionate team that values ownership, initiative, and continuous learning.
      • Grow your career in Customer Success - with opportunities to lead, specialise, and shape the future of how we help our clients succeed.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
