About the role:
The Customer Project Engineer plays a key role within our presales/technical solutions function, in providing expertise and coordination in technical design projects for our customer base. With a focus on electrical, mechanical, civil, and controls specialties, this role seeks to support our customers' migration to, or growth within, our Data Centre facilities. Working collaboratively across design, customer, and delivery teams; this role combines stakeholder management, design development, and collateral preparation/presentation.
Othe responsibilities include:
- Work with internal teams to respond to requests from customers, and to respond in bid scenarios.
- Support with hyperscale pre-sales opportunities, proposing opportunities that are equally technically robust, and commercially viable.
- Provide support and coordinate customer workshops, technical deep-dives, and solution review sessions.
- Maintain, track, and update RFP-related technical documentation and deliverables (e.g. submission requirements, timelines, risk registers).
- Support technical discussions and negotiations with customers, managing deviations, assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications.
- Collate and prepare technical solution presentations for prospective and existing customers.
- Develop high-level space planning, power, cooling, and infrastructure solutions tailored to customer needs.

About you:
The ideal candidate presents as a natural problem-solver, combining demonstrated technical solutions knowledge from within critical infrastructure environments, with a commercial and customer-focused approach. The successful candidate will be adjusted to operating within dynamic and fast-paced environments, possessing the ability to translate technical customer requirements, into actionable and feasible solutions which can be communicated and implemented across our business functions. Bringing together strong stakeholder engagement skills, and an understanding of data centre design and delivery engineering principles; we would particularly love to hear from candidates that have had exposure to hyperscale facility design and implementation.
- Demonstrated technical solutions experience from within data centre engineering or critical infrastructure environments (electrical, mechanical, civil, or controls focus).
- Experience in supporting with RFP's, RFI's, bids, or technical proposal responses in customer deployment solutions.
- Strong understanding of Data Centre Engineering principles and industry standard design architectures.
- Demonstrated experience in pre-sales or post-sales engineering teams - customer-facing engagements, proposals, technical solution development.
Essential:
Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
