About the role
We’re looking for a Customer Insights Specialist to join our Customer Experience and Commercial Services Team on a 12‑month contract.
Reporting to the Senior Customer Insights Business Partner, this role plays a critical part in turning customer data into insight that drives better business decisions across key business units.
You’ll support and evolve established customer insights programs, helping embed customer thinking into strategic and commercial decision‑making.
What’s involved
Maintain and continuously improve our customer insights capability, aligning to leading research and insights best practice
Coordinate and support delivery across established customer research programs and platforms
Translate complex customer data into clear, actionable insights that teams can use with confidence
Support insights programs that increase the adoption of customer insights for strategic and commercial decision‑making
Contribute to the delivery of the Bunnings Customer Insights roadmap, driving improved customer outcomes and measurable commercial impact
Contribute information and insights to key retail processes, including voice of customer, trade planning, marketing execution, creative performance, and loyalty and advocacy
Who we’re looking for
You bring strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative findings into clear, actionable customer insights.
A confident communicator across verbal, visual and written formats, you’re experienced in coordinating projects to deliver outcomes on time and within scope.
You’ll need
A tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Statistics or a related discipline
Experience working with or within a research agency, or in an internal insights function partnering closely with agencies
Knowledge of a range of research and data techniques, including quantitative and qualitative methods, brand health tracking and research communities, with exposure to AI‑enabled tools that support faster analysis, synthesis and insight generation
Strong technical capability across research and statistical tools, with hands‑on experience using Q (essential) to analyse, weight and interpret survey data, alongside experience applying qualitative and quantitative techniques
Knowledge of research SaaS platforms (e.g. Medallia, Qualtrics) is favourable
An understanding of the retail landscape, including market trends, consumer behaviour and competitive dynamics
