Job Description:
We’re looking for a bold and customer-obsessed marketer to bring our brands to life in one of Australia’s largest supermarket chains. In this dynamic role, you’ll be the driving force behind customer activations—both in-store and online—that increase brand presence, enhance shopper engagement, and convert interest into sales.
Working closely with Sales and Marketing, you’ll develop and execute activation plans grounded in consumer, shopper, and customer insights, tailored to meet unique customer needs. You’ll also act as a vital link between Mars and our retail partner—championing the voice of both the customer and the shopper within our business to ensure our strategies are aligned, relevant, and future-focused.

Role Title: Customer Activation Leader
Location: Melbourne, VIC
Hours: Full-time, 12 month contract
Reporting to: Shopper Marketing Head
Design & Execute Activations: Create channel and customer initiatives that grow our brands, maximise physical and digital availability, and drive shopper conversion.
Shape the Annual Plan: Partner with Customer Development to build aligned, insight-led activation plans that meet both customer objectives and category growth drivers.
Bridge Sales & Marketing: Ensure plans are aligned cross-functionally and integrated into our broader S&OP+ process.
Own the Perfect Store: Define and measure customer-specific KPIs that drive ROI and continuous improvement.
Customise & Optimise: Tailor POS, online assets, and selling stories for maximum impact and conversion with your assigned customer.
Influence & Advocate: Be the voice of the customer internally - ensuring our strategies and executions deliver mutual success.
Background in customer-facing roles such as Sales, Marketing, Category Leadership, or Customer Management.
Proven ability to translate brand strategies into compelling, customer-specific plans that drive mutual value.
Strong commercial acumen, with a confident approach to data, negotiation, and problem-solving.
A natural collaborator with the ability to build trust and influence cross-functional teams and customers.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment—with a solution-focused mindset and a drive to make things happen.
