The Culture & Sustainability team sits within our high-performing People & Culture Group. Passionate about innovation, design and creating solutions to support our people to thrive, we focus on leadership, diversity, wellbeing, culture, community, engagement, ESG, careers & capability. The Culture & Leadership team’s focus is closely integrated with the broader People & Culture team’s strategy; with a predominant focus on cultivating an inclusive, vibrant and cohesive culture across our global teams and architecting our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy. 

 

What the role is all about 

The Culture & DEI Lead is responsible for the development and execution of strategies and initiatives that foster employee engagement, promote cultural integration, enhance our DEI goals, and ensure alignment with the REA’s mission and values. This role will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure programs align with REA Groups strategic objectives, foster a dynamic and engaging culture, and support a diverse and inclusive work environment. 

 

While no two days are likely to be the same in this role, typical activities will include: 

  • Developing and implementing a culture strategy that aligns with REA’s business goals, with local and global nuances in mind 

  • Creating and delivering a comprehensive DEI strategy which is aligned to local and global business objectives 

  • Building and developing Diversity & Belonging policies and practices 

  • Partnering with P&C and the broader business as a trusted advisor across DEI and Culture; proactively engaging and consulting with business stakeholders 

  • Managing strategic programs and change initiatives to help us achieve our Diversity and Culture goals  

  • Developing metrics and dashboarding to assess effectiveness and impact of activities 

  • Sharing insights with senior stakeholders; reporting on industry trends, deep-diving into internal metrics and providing data-driven recommendations for future initiatives 

  • Building relationships both internally and externally to ensure the business is well-informed and supported to shape and deliver on best practices in Culture & DEI 

  • Facilitating workshops, surveys and interviews to assess current activities and sentiment 

  • Working closely with our HR Business Partners on our employee listening strategy 

 

Who we’re looking for 

  • Proven experience as a culture expert or in a related role, with a great understanding of organisational culture dynamics 

  • Experience developing DEI strategy and leading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives 

  • A diversity champion with a proven track record for enhancing D&I policies and practices  

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels 

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with experience in utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision-making 

  • Expertise in organisational psychology, change management, or a related field 

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with cross-functional teams 

  • Experience in developing people strategy and the plans to execute  

  • Someone who is values-driven and commercially minded
