The Opportunity

Online Educations Services (OES) is seeking a switched-on, strategic Corporate Communications Manager with exceptional interpersonal skills. You are a natural communicator and thrive on making complex content accessible. Your strong people skills mean that you are comfortable picking up the phone to speak to a journalist and feel confident building strong relationships with executives, respected industry professionals and other key internal stakeholders.   

You understand the intricacies of both traditional and new communications and have a knack of turning opportunities into strategic actions. Duties will be diverse with a focus on public relations, media relations, issues management, content creation, sponsorships, website governance, along with brand and reputation management. 

You’ll be someone who thrives working across a dynamic and varied portfolio of work, be a self-starter and enjoy working as part of a small team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead media relations and thought leadership by building strong sector connections and securing impactful media coverage aligned with organisational goals.
  • Develop and manage external communications content including press releases, videos, podcasts, presentations, and media kits for media, government, and public audiences.
  • Plan and execute PR campaigns in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring alignment with academic, student insights, and business development objectives.
  • Source and manage media stories by identifying compelling student case studies and innovations across partner brands for use in news media.
  • Oversee brand and digital presence including website content, social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn), and ensuring consistent brand application across all materials.
  • Support executive and internal communications through media training, risk management, EVP promotion, and ad hoc communications support.

About You

  • Formal qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, and/or Marketing.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in agency or in-house communications roles.
  • Proven ability to engage with journalists and external stakeholders to build strong media relationships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills, including briefing and content development.
  • Skilled in storytelling and thought leadership, with experience crafting compelling narratives and marketing collateral.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and support senior leaders.
