Purpose;

The Core Platforms Specialist is responsible for the support, maintenance, administration, configuration and optimisation of Core platforms. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and scalability of the platforms that host critical applications used across the organisation.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver stable and well-governed application environments.

Key Deliverables;

  • Platform Support: Maintain core asset finance platforms and related systems for internal teams and external partners.

  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve production issues, coordinating with vendors when necessary.

  • System Health: Monitor system health and respond to incidents to minimize business impact.

  • Change Management: Assist with releases, upgrades, and configuration changes across environments.

  • Stability: Maintain non-production and production environments in a stable state.

  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operational guides.

  • Development: Contribute to enhancements, fixes, and general development activities.

  • Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and user experience.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with business teams to understand needs and provide practical solutions.

  • Communication: Ensure clear communication during incidents, changes, and planned activities.

Qualifications & Experience;

  • FIS Ambit Asset Finance: Hands-on experience is strongly preferred.

  • Education: Degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline.

  • Hybrid Skills: A blend of technical depth with financial and business understanding.

  • Experience: Prior experience in IT Business Analysis or Techno-functional roles is beneficial.

Technical Skills & Qualifications;

  • Experience: Solid background with enterprise-grade financial applications in incident management, support, or problem-solving capacities.

  • Core Competencies: Strong working knowledge of:

    • SQL Server and database concepts

    • .NET ecosystem

    • Azure platform

    • System Integrations and APIs
