Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity for a Rail Coordinator to join our growing team!
This role will be responsible for coordinating all incoming and outgoing rail customer requirements in a timely and cost-efficient manner, ensuring smooth operational flow and effective communication across all stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
Liaise with ARTC & Rail Operators to coordinate rail movements
Act as a key point of contact for rail customers, providing timely updates, resolving issues, and maintaining strong working relationships
Assist with setting up trains for container delivery including following load plans
Book trains in and out of operating system
Compile consist and sending to rail customers in a timely manner
Ensure all containers are as per customer requests prior to train departure
Check and sight stock levels for upcoming trains
Assist with Quarantine
Manage invoicing, including raising purchase requisitions
Plan rail load/unload according to customer requirements
Organise transport to other empty parks
Assist with billing
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Rail Industry Safety Induction / Track Safety Awareness advantageous
Current Drivers Licence
Rail or transport/logistics coordination experience
Knowledge of container park layout
Proficient in the use of MS Excel
Customer service experience
