Cooks – Part Time
The Jazz Corner Hotel, Melbourne

Hourly rates (excluding super):
Monday – Friday: $25.85
Saturday: $32.31
Sunday: $38.78

The Jazz Corner Hotel is looking for several skilled and passionate Cooks to join our culinary team. Working in a vibrant boutique hotel environment, home to the renowned Bird’s Basement, you’ll prepare and present high-quality dishes for breakfast, in-room dining, and event service, ensuring every plate leaves the kitchen at its best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistent, high standard.
  • Assist in breakfast, room service, and event menus.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
  • Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Support stock management, rotation, and waste minimisation.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in hotels, cafés, or restaurants.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Availability for early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster.
