About the Role:
Our Contract Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end contractual administration of subcontractors and major suppliers, ensuring strict adherence to client contract requirements, company policies, and procedures.
This role provides critical support to the CDC Development and Operations Teams across all project phases, from initial development to full operational implementation. Close collaboration with multiple stakeholders will be essential to aligning contract administration with project objectives, mitigating risks, and driving efficiency across procurement and supplier management.
- Manage all financial aspects of construction contracts, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Oversee cost control, ensuring budgets are maintained and financial risks are minimised.
- Procure subcontractors, negotiating commercial terms in line with company protocols.
- Analyse contractor pricing, verifying accuracy in rates and quantity measures.
- Ensure all contract obligations are met, tracking milestones, payments, and reporting.
- Liaise with managers and stakeholders through meetings, emails, and calls to discuss key contract matters.
- Administer contract processes, including variations, progress claims, and financial tracking.
- Maintain accurate registers, documentation, and templates while supporting contractual correspondence.
About you:
We’re looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in large, multi-disciplined construction projects. Your expertise in commercial and financial management within the commercial property or industrial sector will be key to your success.
You’ll need to be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders and comfortable navigating complex contracts. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage challenges while maintaining positive relationships will be key. Key things we’re looking for:
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Demonstrated experience as a Contracts Administrator/Quantity Surveyor/Project finance, working on large multi-disciplined construction projects.
- Proven experience in the preparation of contract agreements
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflict.
- A collaborative and diligent attitude to project delivery and deadlines.
Essential:
- Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
