About the team

As part of the Field Contract Governance (FCG), you will oversee the governance of Field Services suppliers to ensure they are compliant to the terms and conditions of their contract. FCG operate cross-function focusing on compliance, supplier key performance indicators, commercials and QHSE assurance.

About the role

As a Contracts Specialist, you will be instrumental in facilitating governance, support, and compliance of several Field Services suppliers across the Telstra Group, including but not limited to InfraCo, GN&T, Amplitel, and Telstra Enterprise.

This role also significantly contributes to the implementation of strategic and operational sourcing, Procurement, contracting and supply management strategies, and operations processes to ensure the organisation attains the best value in the goods and services required to enable achievement of its goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, improve and sustain Field Services supplier compliance to HSE, strategic contractual KPIs & clauses, assurance, and minimum requirements for the scope of works.
  • Conduct regular and effective governance meetings, reviewing compliance, reporting and analytics on supplier performance across relevant functional units.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against contractual key performance indicators for multiple programs across the Telstra Group, including but not limited to InfraCo, GN&T, Amplitel, and Telstra Enterprise.
  • Engage with cross-functional, key internal stakeholders to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives regarding Field Supplier Governance, Supplier Risk, assurance, and customer experience.
  • Authentically collaborate with stakeholders to scope business improvement opportunities and provide recommendations for consideration that achieve business and customer outcomes, linked to clear financial data, performance, and business levers.
  • Act as a point of escalation for both Field Services suppliers and Telstra internal stakeholders in contractual and commercial matters.
  • Engage with a large network of cross-functional stakeholders and external stakeholders to understand their objectives and challenges to develop resourcing and capability strategies to further develop the contract manager cohort across Telstra.
  • Ensure supplier relationship management standards are met for strategic and critical vendors.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and the Functional Units to perform onboarding and assessment for new Field Services suppliers.
  • Facilitate cross-functional internal and external communication, including meetings, collaboration forums, mailbox management, and issuing notices, alerts, updates, and key advice.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, transformation, and efficiency initiatives by generating business performance insights and preparing performance data that inform recommendations and improvement plans for Telstra.
  • Facilitate and enhance the governance of Field Suppliers by leveraging and maintaining databases and systems such as Donesafe and PowerBI.
