Overview
The Content Marketing Strategist leads content marketing for the B2B Skillsoft marketing campaign. This position is focused on driving brand awareness, generating pipeline opportunities, and fostering growth within existing customer accounts. The ideal candidate will bring campaign messaging to life by identifying content gaps and uncovering new opportunities and then using those insights to craft comprehensive content strategies and lead content execution in support of the marketing campaign.
In this role, the Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for the process of planning, creating, distributing, sharing and publishing content such as blogs, websites, infographics, videos, guides, emails, podcasts, event breakouts, and more for their marketing campaign.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Develop and define the content journey, based on audience, and build related content that differentiates Skillsoft in the market for the B2B campaign
- Determine content gaps, and use that insight to optimize content journey, strategy and set of experiences for the campaign
- Work closely with internal teams and SMEs to understand the business objectives, target audience, differentiators as well as the narrative and messaging to develop content strategy
- Plan, create, write, edit and approve content such as client stories, video scripts, whitepapers and web copy that effectively tell our stories and communicate our message across multiple channels
- Leverage data and insights to shape content strategies, while ensuring it ladders up to the company brand values.
- Build out an editorial calendar for their campaign and manage the execution of content creation.
- Keep up with the latest trends in storytelling and content marketing and seize opportunities to test and learn to improve content engagement and conversion continuously.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English or Communications preferred
- 2+ years of experience in content marketing creation and/or strategy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed
- Experience with B2B and Software as a Service is a plus
- Ability to manage variety of stakeholder needs
- Proven ability to prioritize and multitask in fast paced, dynamic environment
- Understanding of where marketing content fits into the go-to-market strategy
- Experience working within a marketing campaign is a plus
Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $91,000 to $113,000 annualized.
