Consulting Director 

At Datacom, we help organisations navigate change and unlock the full potential of digital. We’re growing rapidly across Australia and New Zealand, and we’re looking for a Consulting Director who brings both strategic vision, technology and architectural insight and the ability to lead from solutioning, delivery and client relationship management. Someone who can connect the dots between business needs, technology, and people—and who thrives in collaborative, purpose-driven environments.  

This role will sit with our largest client to sit on the account leadership team, spearheading Professional services as well as other business into the account.  There is a 20m+ pipeline that we need a Strategist / Architect to help solution and deliver while contributing to the ongoing positive relationship with client leaders. This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with a strong consulting background, commercial acumen, and a passion for storming and forming, shaping opportunities and framing up to work with high-performing cross functional teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

· Lead complex client engagements across strategy, transformation, and technology domains. 

· Shape and drive presales activities, including solutioning, proposal development, and client presentations. 

· Partner with sales and delivery teams to develop compelling value propositions and win strategies. 

· Build and scale consulting capability aligned to market demand and emerging trends. 

· Support the Head of Consulting Australia in executing growth strategies, identifying new opportunities, and expanding client relationships. 

· Champion Datacom’s consulting-led approach to technology, reinforcing our market presence and client value. 

· Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

What We’re Looking For 

· Proven experience in consulting leadership, with a track record of delivering high-impact outcomes. 

  Deep and broad technology and delivery experience on large scale programs 

· Strong presales capability, including experience in shaping deals, influencing stakeholders, and driving early-stage client engagement. 

· A growth mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and scale offerings. 

· Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. 

· 10yrs plus experience working across the Australian market is highly desirable.
