This Position reports to:

Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) Business Process Owner


 

Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled CPQ Configurator Engineer to build and optimize our Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) configurators and support platform development. This role will be responsible for ensuring the successful development and deployment of configurator solutions aligned with business needs and continuously improving CPQ efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CPQ systems and process optimization.

Technical proficiency and leadership: Demonstrates good technical and business processes proficiency in the CPQ domain. Performs a variety of tasks demonstrating ability to recognize problems, collect, evaluate user requirements and transform into input to solutions. Documents collected requirements and contributes to efficient progress tracking and KPI follow-up in the area of responsibility.

 

Innovation and creativity: Contributes to development with own, creative ideas, proposals and implementing those. Proposes follow-up activities based on project results.

Projects, processes and tools: Works as a reliable project member, applying a structured way of working. Understanding of ABB business processes and applications.

Electrification Service portfolio context: Gathers information about relevant ABB products in order to achieve efficiency in Sales Configurators activities. Development coordination, maintenance and continuous improvement of ABB’s Sales Configurators. Collects and evaluates user requirements, manages the software creation at an external suppliers. ABB´s Sales Configurators deployment and business processes sharing to other ABB companies worldwide.

Network and visibility: Collaborate with Product managers, Configurator developers Functional specialists (for Salesforce, Conga, ServIS, etc), Business & Process Enablement team members and leadership and our external suppliers.

Act as a speaking partner for local teams in explaining configurators functionality and usage. Create user manual and supporting documentation to enable the users.

Qualifications for the role

  • 5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of experience in sales and marketing of electrification business.
  • Practical experience in Configurator development with 2-3 full implementation cycles.
  • Computer science or information technology degree.
  • Knowledge on general level and in detail of: Common software architecture and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of ABB EL products in general and ELSE Service portfolio in particular will be additional value.
  • Good communication skills in the English language, written and oral.
  • Capable of planning and executing workload in an efficient way.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Capable of thinking out of the box and suggesting smarter and better solutions.
