Forward looking, the Engineering function has developed a Capability Plan to enable the Engineering workforce to meet our defence customers' evolving needs, both in Australia and internationally.
We are currently seeking an experienced Team Lead to guide our Configuration Management team and drive the success of the Air Battlespace Management Wakulda Program.
In this role, you will manage and guide a team, ensuring the effective execution of configuration management tasks throughout both the sustainment and incremental development phases of the Wakulda Program. Your experience will be crucial in maintaining schedules, adhering to established standards, and advancing strategic initiatives.
You will oversee project integrity and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This position requires a proactive leader who can balance tasks, schedule and project requirements with minimal supervision while upholding high standards in configuration management. Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Configuration Management team lead to oversee and drive the development, review, and management of process and product baselines for our highly integrated and complex products. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with Wakulda Engineering Leadership and the Wakulda Program Management Team to plan, schedule and execute activities to manage the configurations of a complex System of Systems solution.
- Implement Standards and Processes: Oversee the implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, systems, and tools.
- Guide the definition and allocation of Configuration Management and Data Management requirements for hardware, software, and engineering design data systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Ensure the seamless integration of product elements and address complex issues related to engineering product structure.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry
- Experience using Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar
- Proven experience in a leadership role within configuration management.
- Strong background in developing and managing processes and procedures.
- Excellent coordination skills and ability to work across multiple sites.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and driving strategic initiatives.
