About the role:

We currently have a role available in our merchandising team for a competitor analyst. Based in our national support office in Burnley, this role has a focus on helping our merchandise team with the maintenance, action and analysis of competitor pricing and results for our retail and trade networks. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in an interesting role focused on the retail and trade competitive landscape!

What's involved:

  • Day to day you will be focused on the maintenance of our online price monitoring
  • Analysis and investigation of competitor price movements
  • Pulling together reporting for our merchandise team
  • Identifying any new competitors in the market

We're looking for:

We are looking for someone to join the team with strong financial acumen and analysis. A high attention to detail is a must have together with the proven ability to analyse relevant data and produce relevant and timely information to a broad range of stakeholders in our business.

You’ll need:   

  • Ideally you are degree qualified in finance, commerce etc
  • You have recent experience in an analyst role with experience in price monitoring/pricing optimisation
  • You have exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong analytical and reporting capability
  • You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment with competing priorities
