Lime, the world’s leader in shared micromobility, is seeking an exceptional Community Engagement Manager to join our dynamic Government Relations team. In this role, you will report into the Senior Manager of Government Relations, ANZ and take the lead in fostering meaningful connections with the communities we serve across Australia and New Zealand. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute strategic initiatives that enhance Lime’s presence, deepen community trust, and drive collaboration with key partners.
We are looking for a proactive, team-oriented candidate, with experience engaging directly with community members and the public. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in public engagement, project management, and a passion for creating positive community impact.
What you’ll do:
Community Engagement Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies.
Public Meetings and Events: Organise and facilitate stakeholder meetings, roundtables, and community events to gather feedback, foster dialogue and educate our riders.
Relationship Building: Identify, build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organisations, and stakeholders.
Primary Contact: Serve as a primary point of contact for public and community inquiries and concerns.
Stakeholder Communication: Ensure timely and accurate communication with stakeholders regarding project developments and impacts, and maintain a stakeholder database to track interactions and feedback.
Public Relations: Collaborate with the Lime Communications and Marketing teams to develop clear and effective communication materials, represent Lime at public events and ensure all communications are culturally sensitive and inclusive.
Program Development and Reporting: Work closely with Lime’s operations team to integrate community feedback, develop and manage community participation programs, monitor engagement effectiveness, and prepare reports for Lime management teams and city councils.
About you:
You're a confident communicator who thrives in public-facing roles whether that's knocking on doors, speaking at a community meeting, or bringing stakeholders together.
You know how to build trust, navigate differing opinions, and find common ground.
Experience in government relations is a bonus, but not essential – what matters most is your instinct for navigating complex environments and your ability to build strong, people-first relationships
A multi-tasker comfortable working on multiple priorities at once while executing projects in a demanding environment.
Availability to travel frequently around Melbourne and other ANZ markets on occasion.
Available for regular events on evenings and weekends.
Preferred Experience:
Strong preference for this role to be located within the Greater Melbourne area in order to be in close proximity to community events and the Lime Warehouse.
Previous professional experience in transportation and mobility is ideal but not required.
