Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting the communications and engagement functions across Australia, with a strong focus on facilitating the creation of collateral for projects, support for event coordination and project administration.

Community engagement and consultation

  • Provide bridge between community and marketing team.
  • Support the coordination of grants programs including promotion, evaluation of applications and administration of the award recipients.
  • Support the coordination of events and consultation activities.
  • Assist in the organisation of operating asset site tours to support need of the business development and community teams.
  • Support reporting at the Australian and global level.

Marketing and communications

  • Coordinate the production of and updating of collateral (e.g. advertisements, brochures & flyers, project fact sheets, videos etc.) that can be used by Community Engagement Advisers and BD team.
  • Undertake set up, updating, data analysis and reporting for community and corporate web pages.
  • Manage merchandise offering, including production of new materials and ensuring necessary stock levels.
  • Prepare and publish internal and external content relating to our marketing and community engagement activities, in line with content plans.
  • Ensure application of communication guidelines in collateral and media production.
  • Streamline file sharing and document storage/control to ensure strong internal communications and knowledge sharing.
  • Liaise with and coordinate suppliers in line with marketing and community engagement activities.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as arts, languages, education, communication, marketing/advertising, media studies, public participation or public relations
  • Professional experience gained from an early career or internship held within a large organisation. Exposure to power, renewables or construction sectors highly valued.
  • Knowledge of principles for effective stakeholder relations and community engagement
  • Demonstrated skills and experience preparing professional communications materials and content
  • Well-developed ICT skills with strong digital and technology literacy
  • Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in delivering outcomes on time and within budget
  • Flexibility and preparedness for ad hoc travel
  • Current Victorian or equivalent Australian state driver’s licence desirable.

South Melbourne office location.

Base salary $80-83K, plus superannuation and benefits.
