We're on a mission to redefine the customer experience, and we need a passionate Commercial Transformation Lead to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney.

We’re looking for a commercially minded transformation operator to lead high-impact business initiatives that shape how CT scales, integrates and performs. This role goes beyond traditional project management, bringing together commercial thinking, cross-functional execution, change leadership and strong executive communication to deliver outcomes across people, process, systems, client experience and operational performance.

We are open to full time or part time arrangements for this role. This role will also require occasional interstate travel.

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Lead strategic commercial and operational transformation initiatives from concept through to adoption and benefits realisation.
  • Translate executive priorities and commercial opportunities into clear plans, milestones, accountabilities and decision points.
  • Define initiative scope, success measures and commercial outcomes with executives and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop practical delivery plans that consider sequencing, resourcing, readiness, business risk, client impact and financial implications.
  • Assess trade-offs and recommend options that balance value, cost, risk, speed, quality and operational capacity.
  • Establish effective operating rhythms, governance forums and reporting that support timely decisions and accountability.
  • Provide concise, commercially focused executive reporting covering progress, risks, dependencies, decisions and business impact.
  • Track milestones, risks, budget considerations, benefits realisation and commercial outcomes, escalating issues with recommended actions.
  • Facilitate outcome-focused meetings, ensuring decisions are captured, ownership is clear and actions are followed through.
  • Act as a trusted transformation partner to executives and senior leaders, influencing across functions and keeping focus on enterprise outcomes.
  • Lead practical change and adoption approaches across people, process, technology, client experience and ways of working.
  • Assess change impacts, stakeholder readiness, communications, training needs and adoption risks, managing resistance with confidence and commercial judgement.
  • Partner across People & Culture, Finance, ITS, Operations, Sales, Service Delivery and other functions to embed sustainable change.
  • Lead integration planning and execution for acquisitions, mergers and newly onboarded business areas, considering commercial, operational, people, process, systems and client impacts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional integration work streams, managing milestones, dependencies, risks, communications, decision points and success measures.
  • Identify and manage integration risks including cultural alignment, role clarity, process gaps, client impact, financial assumptions and operational readiness.
  • Support business cases and benefits realisation tracking to ensure transformation delivers measurable commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews, capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across processes, frameworks and delivery methodologies.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in a commercial transformation, strategic operations, delivery leadership, business operations or senior project role within an IT, managed services or fast-paced operating environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives that improve business performance, operational effectiveness and customer or client outcomes
  • Experience delivering internal business transformation projects (not just customer delivery)
  • Experience supporting M&A, business integration, acquisition onboarding or market expansion, including cross-functional planning, stakeholder alignment and change adoption
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand revenue, margin, cost drivers, productivity impacts, benefits realisation and return on investment
  • Ability to build practical plans, operating rhythms, dashboards and executive updates that create clarity and momentum
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong Agile delivery capability with pragmatic application (not dogmatic)
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including executive-level engagement
  • Operates with accountability, gravitas, commercial judgement and the ability to translate business drivers into clear outcomes
  • Strong change management capability, including the ability to assess impacts, engage stakeholders, shape communications and support adoption across functions
  • Ability to balance detail with big-picture thinking
  • Confident communicator with strong facilitation skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual rigour and curiosity, and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required to project sites or stakeholder locations.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
