IN A NUTSHELL

At Bellroy, we put our heart, soul and countless design hours into helping the world carry better. Our products sell in over 1,200 retailers across 20+ countries, and how our brand shows up on those floors, at trade shows, in a distributor's window, does a lot of the work of making our mission land.

That's where you come in. This is a producer role, not a creative one. You'll own the projects that put Bellroy in front of wholesale and distributor customers: running trade show logistics end to end, taking retail displays from a designer's concept through to a made, shipped, in-store reality, and getting the printed range guides and concertinas into the wholesale team's hands before customer showings. You'll be the one keeping the moving pieces moving, liaising between Creative, Production, Finance, Logistics and our wholesale leads, and making sure key projects don’t fall through the cracks and are delivered on-time and on-budget. You'll report to Sean our Senior Sales Manager, with the Sales Manager (Americas) and the wider wholesale team close on the projects that need them.

What you won't get here is a plan handed to you to execute. Bellroy is a genuinely global business and we keep our decisions close to the people doing the work, so you'll have real ownership of how these projects run and real visibility into how a global wholesale operation actually functions. We're a B Corp, we take that seriously, and we care about doing good work honestly.

YOU COULD BE THE ONE IF YOU HAVE…

  • 2+ years running cross-functional projects from a rough brief through to a delivered result, coordinating people who don't report to you and keeping everyone pointed the same way.
  • A producer's instinct for ownership. You'd rather see a process through to completion than hand it off half-done, and "who owns this?" is a question you're comfortable answering with your own name.
  • Real ease living inside a project tool like Asana, where you can see every moving piece at once and chase down the ones starting to slip before they become a problem.
  • The ability to translate between creative, production, logistics and wholesale teams, so a display goes from a design to something made, shipped and standing in a store.
  • Enough commercial awareness to understand wholesale and distributor relationships: what a retailer needs on their floor, why a trade show booth earns its keep, and how to talk to the people who make those calls.
  • Genuine comfort working across time zones. Some of your projects will sit in Australia, others in Singapore, California or Europe, and you'll be the one holding them together. This is the honestly hard part of the role, and we'd rather be upfront about it than surprise you later.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and the knack for building trust quickly with anyone from a factory contact to a distributor to a senior leader.
  • A bias toward action when things are unclear. You spot what needs to happen, sort it, and don't wait to be told.

Trade shows, in store brand experience leading fixture and display development and window merchandising will all be key functions of this role. Huge bonus to applicants that have history with this type of work despite the industry

Even if you don't tick every box, if you get a kick out of owning the messy, cross-team projects that put a brand in front of customers around the world, we'd love to hear from you.

IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK, YOU MIGHT HAVE…
  • Kicked off a trade show booth build: set up the design meeting with the Creative team, briefed the sales manager who'll be on the floor, and lined up a local printer for the graphics that need to be ready well before anyone flies out.
  • Walked a wholesale display from a designer's concept through to a finished product, coordinating the build with Production and working with Logistics on importing it and getting it into the warehouse, so nobody overseas got stuck signing for a surprise shipment.
  • Got the new season's printed range guides and concertinas sorted and in the wholesale team's hands ahead of customer showings.
  • Jumped on an early call with the Singapore team to unblock a distributor's floor-display request, then updated the project tracker so everyone could see exactly where it landed.
  • Taken a distributor's display request through a fit-for-purpose check with the wholesale team, then fed the changes back to Creative so the design actually worked in-store.
  • Run a quick retro with the team on the last trade show, and written up two things to fix before the next one.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
