As an Associate or Vice President in Credit Sales, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing investor relationships for the bank, primarily in Australia and New Zealand. You will work closely with various teams to provide comprehensive client coverage on credit products, understand market drivers, and execute trades in primary and secondary markets. Your role will involve pitching ideas, providing market updates, and ensuring compliance with the firm's risk management policies and applicable legal/regulatory rules.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Trading, Structuring, DCM, Syndicate, and Research teams to provide comprehensive client coverage on credit products.
- Develop an understanding of market drivers and establish competence with clients around executing trades in primary and secondary markets.
- Assist in pitching ideas, providing market updates, and executing trades across a wide range of clients, including asset managers, pension funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, and hedge funds.
- Understand the firm's approach and policies for managing risks and comply with applicable legal/regulatory rules.
- Identify and engage with key decision-makers at prospect clients in targeted markets.
- Lead the client acquisition process, from prospecting and networking to generating new business pipelines and managing client relationships.
- Achieve revenue targets and generate a pipeline to meet and exceed goals.
- Source new sales opportunities through proactive outreach and leverage internal relationships and networks.
- Provide high-touch coverage for major institutional clients, managing relationships and gathering feedback.
- Collaborate with Digital Sales colleagues on targeted sales campaigns and client events.
- Conduct regular visits with Pricing and Index product partners to pitch offerings.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Credit sales or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or other related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of Credit products: Corporate Bonds, RMBS/ABS , CDS, Credit indices, Repo.
- Ability to identify market drivers with a keen interest in learning about other products to develop a cross-product skill set.
- Team player who is detail-oriented with a disciplined approach to process and quality control.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal partners.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Ability to build trust with clients and internal stakeholders by demonstrating an understanding of their needs.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and ability to contribute to business development.
- Experience covering Asset Managers, Asset Owners, or ETF issuer client base.
