Lead the Finance Business Partnering team to drive budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and commercial analysis. We have a brilliant opportunity to join our Finance Team as a Commercial Finance Manager! This is an incredible chance to join a fast-growing ASX listed eCommerce industry leader and take ownership of key financial objectives which influence the overall Company outcomes.
The Commercial Finance Manager will have ownership of analysis and tools to drive financial performance, optimisation and commercial direction as well as leading our Finance Business Partnering team who manage company wide Department budgeting, forecasting and business cases across the Kogan.com Group of businesses.
Reporting to our Director of Finance, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the position and partner with their team and Senior Leadership to directly influence business decisions and strategy If you are an established Finance Business Partner who is ready to step into a leadership role, or are an experienced Commercial / Finance Manager looking to diversify into eCommerce or work with an ASX listed business, we would love to hear from you!
In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the business partnering function to drive actionable insights that enhance commercial decision making
- Driving the budgeting and forecasting process across the business
- Establishing, maintaining and assessing processes and tools for effective and consistent tracking of performance against targets
- Analysing key business drivers to develop commercial insights that enable the business to deliver improved performance
- Various aspects of the Month-End Close Process
- Financial analysis and evaluation of project-based investment opportunities on emerging innovation and corporate development opportunities
- Provide commercial support to functional business units to deliver commercial and strategic objectives
- Proactively looking for new and better ways of working to ensure efficiency
- Working collaboratively with the broader Finance team and internal stakeholders to achieve business outcomes
- Coaching and mentoring a team of 2, supporting their growth and development
To be successful in this role, you should be:
- University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business or similar)
- A qualified CA/CPA
- Able to demonstrate experience working within Finance / Accounting, preferably in a Retail / eCommerce / FMCG environment. Experience within an ASX listed business will be highly regarded
- Comfortable building and maintaining effective relationships, through exceptional communication and engagement
- Being able to leverage AI and automation to enhance financial data analytics and process efficiency is highly regarded.
- Experienced with SAP, or similar
- Experienced in using data to inform business direction and strategy, using this as a tool for storytelling and driving outcomes
- Commercial and financially astute, with demonstrated experience in applying these skills to solve complex business problems and find solutions
- Able to thrive in an agile working environment and adaptable to change
- Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within our highly disruptive business model.
