About the Role 🤔
We're on the lookout for a data-driven, Commercial Analyst who will provide strategic insights through the analysis of financial, sales, product, and customer data across Quad Lock’s D2C and B2B channels. In this role, you'll support decision-making by identifying trends, opportunities, and risks to optimise commercial performance, enhance profitability, and inform strategic growth initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in delivering insights that guide pricing strategy, channel expansion, product performance management, and customer lifetime value optimisation.

What You'll Do 📊

  • Lead the analysis of financial, sales, product, and customer data to shape strategic decisions across D2C and B2B channels.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights that inform growth, pricing, product, and channel strategies.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product and Operations to guide commercial priorities and investment decisions.
  • Develop strategic models, forecasts, and performance frameworks to evaluate business initiatives and future scenarios.
  • Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks to support long-term commercial planning and market positioning.
  • Drive the creation of dashboards and performance reporting that enable data-driven leadership decisions.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on product mix, pricing optimisation, and customer profitability.
  • Benchmark performance against market and competitor data to inform strategic direction and identify growth levers.
  • Support the annual planning and budgeting process with data-backed insights and commercial rationale.
  • Work closely with our Business Systems team to enhance data architecture and analytics capability.
  • Champion a culture of commercial excellence and analytical thinking across teams, fostering stronger data-led decision-making.

What You'll Bring 🤝

  • Proven experience in a commercial, financial, or strategic analysis role - ideally within consumer goods, eCommerce, or retail environments.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial, sales, and customer data to deliver clear commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of D2C and B2B business models, including eCommerce performance metrics and channel profitability.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience with BI or analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio).
  • Solid grasp of financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance data-driven insights and commercial judgement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a growth-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with Australian and international markets with an understanding of global commercial operations is highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics or a related discipline.
