Your future team
Our Workplace Technology Collaboration Solutions team is comprised of people with backgrounds in live streaming, collaboration tech design and office technology fit outs including conference rooms, town halls and studios. We work with partners to design these spaces and deliver high end experiences for all users.
We're hiring a Collaboration Solutions Engineer, reporting to the Workplace Collaboration Manager. You are an experienced Workplace Technology Engineer, with strong AV skills and a background in delivering and operating high end experiences in conference rooms, town hall spaces, and other areas through builds, feedback, maintenance and proactive improvements.
You will be our inaugural Melbourne team member so you will be supporting a broad range of technologies with local partner support and remote internal escalation assistance from colleagues in Sydney and around the world available when you need it.
What you'll do

  • This role will help advance collaboration at Atlassian, initially helping to deliver our new Melbourne office and then running and maintaining all technology aspects of this site including laptop, printer, wifi and video conferencing support for visiting staff, most of whom are Mac users.
  • Your responsibilities will include, deploying and managing the functionality of desktop equipment, conference rooms, town hall spaces, background music services and digital signage. You will ensure that all systems are operational and that new setups are ready for success from day one.
  • A genuine fascination with AV technology and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences to all levels of end users are essential for this position. You will coordinate with integrators and vendors for builds, refreshes, and maintenance.
  • You will manage relationships with internal teams, integrators vendors and technicians, serving as the first point of contact for local troubleshooting and system repairs.
  • You will be a driving force on future expansions and enhancements, guiding our local vendors and partners.
  • You will need to help plan and manage the AV component of local team gatherings, executive visits and occasional major online shows and events using Zoom Webinars and related technologies, usually remotely.


Your background

  • Over 4 years of experience in a corporate IT organization, specifically in Workplace Technologies (including laptops, printers, conference rooms, background music, digital signage, town hall spaces)
  • Expert-level understanding of video conferencing technologies, including Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Neat video conferencing hardware, training rooms, town hall spaces, QSYS, and other audio/visual solutions.
  • A strong passion for workplace technologies.
  • Experience with IT/AV office builds, maintenance, and refreshes.
  • Solid understanding of wifi, network protocols and best practices.
  • Ability to manage small projects.
  • A commitment to continuously improving products and processes.
  • The ability to act as a local technology subject matter expert.
  • Awareness of security practices and precautions.
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Experience evaluating technical drawings and plans to ensure they meet business needs.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and is comfortable in a distributed team environment.
  • An enthusiastic, technically proficient engineer with a thirst for knowledge and innovation.
  • Relevant certifications (such as CTS, Dante, QSYS, etc.) are a significant plus.
