Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Cloud Engineer to design and develop a robust, large-scale cloud platform that hosts IoT devices in the forms of cameras and sensors. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building scalable, production-grade microservices, have a strong understanding of network protocols, and have extensive experience in AWS and GCP cloud platforms

Responsibilities include

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications and microservices for IoT/sensor/camera based platforms.
  • Build scalable backend services using Python and Node.js, with front-end integration using  TypeScript/AngularJS.
  • Implement and maintain APIs for real-time device communication, streaming, and management.
  • Ensure robust handling of TCP/IP communication between cloud services and connected devices using web sockets.
  • CI/CD Deploy, monitor, and optimize production-grade microservices in cloud environments, including AWS and GCP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, architecture, and solutions.
  • Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with performance, security, and scalability goals.
  • Participate in after-hours deployments and incident response activities as required.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to team members, promoting best practices in cloud automation and infrastructure as code (IaC)

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering and/or DevOps roles.
  • Proficient in Python programming language.
  • Exposure to Angular/ ReactJS.
  • Proven experience in cloud services and enterprise-scale platform management.
  • Hands on experience with best practices of version control system and branching strategy.
  • Proficiency in AWS / GCP cloud platforms.
  • Good understanding of networking, security, database concepts and cloud architecture principles.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (eg: Bitbucket Pipelines, Bamboo or GitHub Actions).
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, applying strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to extract insights from data to make recommendations to enhance efficiencies and reduce manual intervention.
  • Ability to work independently to deliver project workstreams.
