Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Cloud Engineer to design and develop a robust, large-scale cloud platform that hosts IoT devices in the forms of cameras and sensors. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building scalable, production-grade microservices, have a strong understanding of network protocols, and have extensive experience in AWS and GCP cloud platforms
Responsibilities include
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications and microservices for IoT/sensor/camera based platforms.
- Build scalable backend services using Python and Node.js, with front-end integration using TypeScript/AngularJS.
- Implement and maintain APIs for real-time device communication, streaming, and management.
- Ensure robust handling of TCP/IP communication between cloud services and connected devices using web sockets.
- CI/CD Deploy, monitor, and optimize production-grade microservices in cloud environments, including AWS and GCP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, architecture, and solutions.
- Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with performance, security, and scalability goals.
- Participate in after-hours deployments and incident response activities as required.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to team members, promoting best practices in cloud automation and infrastructure as code (IaC)
Qualifications / Experience / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering and/or DevOps roles.
- Proficient in Python programming language.
- Exposure to Angular/ ReactJS.
- Proven experience in cloud services and enterprise-scale platform management.
- Hands on experience with best practices of version control system and branching strategy.
- Proficiency in AWS / GCP cloud platforms.
- Good understanding of networking, security, database concepts and cloud architecture principles.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (eg: Bitbucket Pipelines, Bamboo or GitHub Actions).
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, applying strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to extract insights from data to make recommendations to enhance efficiencies and reduce manual intervention.
- Ability to work independently to deliver project workstreams.
